Metaxa Brandy 5 Star a blend of grape spirit and Aegean Muscat wine. Soft, smooth, and sweet.
The Metaxa brand was established in 1888 by Spyros Metaxa. The brandies are made by blending grape spirit with plump grapes from Attica.
Metaxa Brandy 5 Star is a blend of three ingredients: A double pot still distilled brandy made from wine produced from Savatiano, Soultanina, and Koritnthiakos grape varieties and aged a minimum of five years in Limousin oak casks. Aged aromatic Muscat wines from the Aegean Islands of Samos and Lemnos. an infusion of Mediterranean herbs and May rose petals. The final blend is married in oak barrels for one year before being chilled filtered and bottled.
Since 1888, the House of Metaxa is on a journey to offer a one-of-a-kind amber spirit. Fine aged distillates and aromatic Muscat wines from the island of Samos give Metaxa 5 Stars its unique floral and versatile character, to be best explored neat, on ice, or in long drinks.
