A special limited edition bottling of Oban 18 Year Scotch, bottled back in 2008 and originally restricted to sale just in the USA and at the distillery. A big hit stateside and there are only a few of the 8778 bottles still out there – we managed to grab a few.

Oban 18 Year Scotch, sitting at the gateway to the isles in the northwest of Scotland, was converted from a brewery in 1794 starting a rich history of single malt whiskey production in the classic Highlands style. Their whiskey is made using 100% malted barley, twice-distilled through lantern-shaped copper pot-stills. The stills are among the smallest in Scotland, and limit Oban’s production to just 650,000 liters of whisky annually.

This bottling enjoys 18 long years of beauty rest in an oak cask and is released at 86 proof. A highly-rated limited edition 18 year old Oban. 7,700 bottles were produced and were available in the US and at the distillery itself. This is a 75cl bottle.
