Jim Beam Rye Whiskey is well known to most bourbon drinkers. Founded in 1795 it is one of the older distilleries in Kentucky. With 200+ years of whiskey making experience they produce a diversity of fine products.

One of Beam’s latest offerings is a “pre-prohibition style rye,” which is a back to the future take and revamp on their traditional rye whiskey.

Finish:

Medium-short. Tart again, with more apple and now candy-corn. This fades quickly, leaving apple skins, slightly bitter barrel char, and a touch of paint thinner.
