Ojo De Tigre Mezcal Joven 750ml
Ojo De Tigre Mezcal Joven
Ojo de Tigre Mezcal is made with Espadin and Tobala that are sustainably grown. It’s then fermented in wooden vats and distilled twice in copper stills in the state of Oaxaca. On the nose there’s a rich earthy mezcal with capsicum, cavelo nero, spruce and wet clay. The palate has lots of fruit, earthy notes with a minty finish.
This artisanal mezcal from Ojo de Tigre showcases a blend of both Espadín and Tobalá agave! This is an unaged Joven expression, with oodles of fresh fruit and citrus to be found alongside gentle smoky notes. How about a smoky twist on a Margarita?
Ojo de Tigre (Eye of the Tiger) mezcal is made by the folk at Case Lumbre and boasts Mexican film star Luis Gerardo Méndez, as a co-founder. And, if that were not backing enough, in July 2020, Pernod Ricard invested in the brand.
This joven mezcal is produced using maguey Espadin (agave Angustifolia) from Oaxaca and maguey Tobalá (agave Potatorum) from Puebla. The tobalá agave used is cultivated from fertilised seeds of naturally grown plants, to help make a sustainably produced mezcal.
These agave are roasted in an underground pit and then milled with a tahona stone. The fermented juice is then double distilled in a copper alembic still.
Mezcal Ojo de Tigre (Eye Of The Tiger), — an inviting mezcal crafted from Oaxacan Agave Espadín and Agave Tobalá from Puebla, is brand a collaboration with renowned Mexican actor and producer Luis Gerardo Mendez. Our name, Ojo de Tigre, comes from the semiprecious stone recognized as a universal amulet of good fortune. And to hold our exceptional spirit, we developed a unique and iconic bottle — inspired by the anforitas of yesteryear; personal amulets that people carried with them in good times and bad.
