Eighty-four years have passed since this recipe was last produced. We are proud to declare the renaissance of “Amaro Delle Sirene Liqueur”. Our flagship amaro is based on an infusion of 30 selected roots and herbs highlighting eucalyptus, ripe fruit and licorice, with a scent of gentian lutea, chicory and chamomile. Our Sirene is matured for 12 months in 250-liter French oak barrels, provided by the Marisa Cuomo Winery of the Amalfi Coast. Visually arresting in shades of deep bronze and dark amber, this highly viscous potion offers an aromatic array and palate of black licorice, star anise, toasted saffron threads, cinnamon, crushed cardamom pods, toasted caraway, whole fennel, all spice, grape vine stems, and caramelized sugars with a backbone of mentholated notes holding it together. Amaro delle Sirene is the first bitter product to come from the Don Ciccio & Figli Family. Originally produced by the candy factory Monpigar on the Amalfi Coast, this Amaro is constructed with 30 different ingredients, making it the most complex of the DC&F Amari lineup. Prominent notes of Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Coriander, Chicory, Passion Flower and other botanicals are layered upon a strong foundation of barks and roots, providing a hearty bitterness with deep and intricate flavors.
