Massenez Eau De Vie Mirabelle G.E.
By definition, an eau-de-vie (“water of life”) is a spirit that is distilled from the fermented mash of fruit. G.E. Massenez uses the only choice, ripe, hand-picked fruit. The mirabelle or yellow plum eau-de-vie from the massenez distillery has remarkable character, concentration, and balance.
Part of Massenez’s VRP range, an abbreviation of “Vieille Réserve Personnelle Sélectionnée” (personally selected), this yellow plum eau-de-vie was developed by Eugene Massenez in 1913.
An intense nose marks the quality of the selection of the original fruits and the delicacy of the distillation. There is also an almond note typical of stone fruits. A very fruity and persistent scent which is a real invitation to taste.
In terms of aromas, classic gradation in fruit Eaux-de-Vie structured in 3 major organoleptic notes: Very subtle floral note, like white flowers. Intense fruity note, with a first perception of fresh fruit to which is superimposed that of ripe fruit and fruit in marmalade or jam. A spicy note at the end very presents giving the final structure to this organoleptic profile.
