Dictador Solera System Aged 20 Year Rum
Aged in a Solera system for between 14 and 24 years, this delicious Colombian rum was made by the Dictador company. It is brought down to bottling strength with demineralized water slowly – drop by drop – over a period of 28 days.

Aged in oak barrels through the solera method. Intense dark amber color with red-brown tones. The nose is firm with soft caramel, vanilla, smoky honey, toffee, dry seeds, and round oak. The initial taste is sweet with a long, filling, and sweet finish of caramel and spice.
This century-old rum producer is based in the heart of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, and produces rum using the classic Spanish solera method where the oldest rum is 20 years of age. Pursuant of a rustic and more medium-bodied style, the Dictador Solera System Rum 20 is made from cane syrup and distilled in a combination of pot and column stills.
Dictador 20 years solera system rum is made from the fermentation of virgin sugar cane honey, distilled partly in copper alembic and partly in steel continuous column, to achieve a medium body rum.
It’s then aged in pre-used oak barrels using the solera method and finally bottled under the highest quality control to ensure all the secrets are contained in the liquid flavor.
Hints of oak and morello cherry. Orange blossom honey, dried cranberries, and hints of smoke.
