Deanston 28 Year Old 1991 Muscat Cask Finish introduces you to an experimental side of Deanston whiskey. This luxury single malt whiskey has been matured for 28 long years, of which the last 2 years took place in ex-muscat barrels. In 2020 the Deanston 28 years Muscat Finish was bottled as a limited edition edition; the total circulation is 1,402 bottles .

A 1991 Deanston 28 Year Old single malt, finished in a Muscat wine cask before being bottled in 2020. Aromas of cinnamon, clove-studded oranges, lemon curd and black pepper fill the nose, complemented by notes of marmalade, honey, sultanas, buttered toast and apricots on the palate.

Way beyond our hive of activity here in the village of Deanston, we’re renowned for our soft, honeyed single malt. What a two- year finish in Muscat brings to the flavor party, is something altogether fruiter. Something oilier, fuller-bodied with a zesty citrus finish.

This twenty-eight-year-old Deanston was finished in a Muscat cask. Limited to 1402 bottles, it provides fruit crumble in the nose, with tantalising citrus following up in the palate. The finish is short, with a touch of cocoa.

An interesting Deanston 28 Year Old Limited Release. This 1991vintage malt has been finished in Muscat casks. The second maturation in Muscat, or Moscatel Wine casks, adds a sweet, syrupy character to the whisky with honey and grape notes coming through.
