Cognac Park 12 Year Maison Park Cognac, by the Tessendier Family, has been around since 1880. I liked the entire line of Cognacs, with the sweet spot being the Borderies. All of these cognacs were excellent, and great values at every level of quality.
Mizunara is a rare oak variety from Japan used for the produce of barrels for aging premium spirits.
Cognac Park 12 Year Cognac 100% Borderies is marked by its soft, round taste and floral notes, revealing its power in the culmination on the palate.
The finishing in Japanese oak casks brings unctuosity and depth and confers complex, spicy notes. It is a marriage that gives birth to an exclusive product.
Aging: The COGNAC PARK Borderies Mizunara is aged 4 years in French oak barrels, mainly from the Limousin. After 10 months in new barrels the cognac is transferred to used casks.
Finishing : At the end of its aging period, the blend is finishing for 6 months in new Japanese oak barrels, called Mizunara.
