A full-bodied Castello d’Albola Acciaiolo 2013 blend with a core of fruit and elegant oak. Comprised of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, this darkly fruited Tuscan red has a core of black cherry compote and caramel-vanilla oak, with undertones of freshly cut green pepper and turned earth. It’s rich and tannic, with a rustic, spicy finish.
Powerful, this concentrated red delivers blackberry, black currant, and tobacco flavors on a broad, dense frame. This is balanced on the tannic side for now, yet stays fresh, with a layer of mineral notes lining the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. Best from 2020 through 2030. 8,000 cases made.
A blend of Castello d’Albola Acciaiolo 2013 and Sangiovese, this offers aromas of dark-skinned fruit, exotic spice, French oak and a whiff of underbrush. Smooth and firmly structured, the elegant palate delivers cassis, black cherry and star anise alongside polished, fine-grained tannins. Drink 2018–2028.
