Brenne French Single Malt Whisky 750 ml
$149.00 $126.65
Brenne French Single Whisky is something quite special indeed. It’s made with malted barley grown in Cognac, double distilled, then initially matured in Limousin oak casks before enjoying a finishing period in Cognac casks. Each bottle is drawn from a single cask and is bottled at 40% ABV. Rather cool stuff indeed.
Distilled from 100% estate grown organic barley by 3rd generation Cognac maker in the heart of Cognac, France. Only Single Malt in the world aged in new French Limousin and Cognac barrels. Winner of “”Best Single Malt Whiskey”” Brenne is a single malt whisky produced with copper alembic stills as opposed to copper pot stills. It ages first in new Limousin oak barrels, used typically to age brandy, before finishing in ex-Cognac casks. They are bottled in batches and never blend the barrels together. Each bottle is numbered with the barrel number from whence it came. Bottle variation will occur, but on average the whisky is 7 years old.
