The 2014 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Ursules has a clean and precise bouquet in the making, with subtle rose petal scents infusing the red cherry and strawberry fruit — a mineral seam just underneath. The palate is supple on the entry, fleshy so that you almost miss the structure that frames this Clos des Ursules. There is good tension here with a twist of citrus lemon on the finish. This is impressive and long term.
