In 1972, the pope of wine, Alexis Lichine, first made the estate’s second wine under its original label of Chateau de Clairefont, or as it is also called now, Confidences de Prieure-Lichine. This Margaux benefits from the same methods of harvesting, vinification, and follow-up as the Classified Growth. It is made with the grapes of younger vines and is aged in second and third-fill barrels for 14 months
