Johnnie Walker The Jane Walker Edition 2.0 10 Year Black Label Scotch Whisky 750ml
Johnnie Walker The Jane is one of the most recognized Whisky names in the World. The brand was established in 1860 by John “Johnnie” Walker, when he started blending Whiskies from his grocery shop in Ayrshire, Scotland. During the Victorian Era, success came when his son Alexander exported around the British Empire, establishing the Whisky early as one of the first truly global brands.
Today, Johnnie Walker’s famous square-shaped bottle — with the label set at a jaunty 24 degrees — is THE most popular blended Whisky in the world, selling more than 130 million bottles per year in nearly every country on the planet across their wide range of ages, special editions, and finishes.
Jane Walker 2.0 is the second limited edition release to bear the Jan Walker badging. This time around the distillery is rededicating their effort to support and honor women with a ten year-old blended malt from master Blender Emma Walker that emphasizes Cardhu Single Malt at its core. And that makes sense because Cardhu — perhaps more than any other distillery in Scotland — was shaped under the influence of two women. Helen Cumming sold their bootleg Whisky from the window of their farmhouse when it started and Elizabeth Cumming rebuilt the distillery in 1885 when it was ramped up into full production.
Jane Walker by Johnnie Walker is a new, limited-edition whisky. The new blended malt is aged 10 years, featuring notes of ripe orchard fruit and white peaches, which develop into hints of baked apple and sweet cream, with a lingering dark chocolate finish.
