Junipero is made using a tiny copper pot still which was installed in a corner of the Anchor Steam Brewery in San Francisco in 1993. After experimentation with a range of different botanicals the folk at Anchor launched this gin, distilled with more than a dozen botanicals.

Junipero Gin is made by hand in the classic “”distilled dry gin”” tradition, using over a dozen botanicals in their natural state, in a small copper pot still at a small distillery on Potrero Hill in San Francisco. Awarded 2019 Chairman’s Trophy at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.

Junipero gin is a smooth, clean and dry gin with an assertive juniper flavour and a spicy finish. Junipero Gin is a London Dry Gin that is rather flavoursome having been distilled with twelve botanicals together in a small copper pot still. The result is a traditional juniper heavy flavour with a pronounced spiciness. While the final botanical list remains secret, citrus elements as well as coriander and liquorice play their part in complementing a classic, timeless gin profile. Although the nose is subtle, there is little more to say about the spirit that is exactly what its name suggests – juniper predominant gin with no aspirations to be anything other than a typical London Dry.

Tasting Notes Of Junipero Gin

Appearance:

Clear, transparent.

Aroma:

Pungent pine/spruce needle and lavender juniper with generous candied ginger, lemon and sage taste coriander seed aromas. Garnished with a snap of orange zest.

Taste:

High in alcohol and strong of flavour, with ruby grapefruit and juniper leading the flavoursome attack with coriander and liquorice.

Aftertaste:
