Four grape varieties are used in the Tronquoy-Lalande blend: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Each plays its role and values ​​the other three by bringing here roundness, density, elsewhere aromas or persistence.

The plush, textured finish only adds to the wine’s considerable appeal. Drink this pliant, expressive Saint-Estèphe over the next 15-20 years or more. This is a stellar showing. The blend is 56 % Merlot, 37 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 6 % Petit Verdot, and 1 % Cabernet Franc.

From the owners of Chateau Tronquoy Lalande, the 2014 Tronquoy Lalande is a beautifully ripe, pure, nicely concentrated, and classic wine from this estate that literally screams “Saint-Estèphe” in its dark currant and cassis fruits and notes of damp earth, tobacco, and underbrush.

Another big, dark St.-Estephe, but in spite of the rich body and some perceptible alcohol, there is also a cool, minty note. Slightly sweet finish…The spice comes through at the end.
