Champagne Barons De Rothschild Ritz Brut Champagne Reserve 750ml

The new Ritz Reserve Brut and the 2008 Vintage Brut were unveiled at a tasting and dinner at the Ritz’s William Kent Room by Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, who is President of Champagne Barons de Rothschild.

Baron Philippe said, ‘They receive the same attention to quality and detail as all our other Champagnes.’

The Ritz Reserve Brut is a 50:50 assemblage of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Grand Cru vineyards, with a low dosage of six g/L and four years maturation on its lees. It will cost £19 by the glass and £94 by the bottle.

Champagne Barons de Rothschild is made up of the three French branches of the family which individually own a number of wine brands and Bordeaux classed growth estates, including Mouton, Lafite and Clarke.

The boutique Champagne business was set up in 2003 and now produces around 500,000 bottles of Champagne each year under the watchful eye of Sereys de Rothschild and CEO Fredéric Mairesse.” Decanter
