Milk And Honey Distillery Elements Red Wine Cask Single Malt Whisky 700ml

Red wine casks from Israel’s finest wineries were used to mature this fruity, floral Israeli single malt from Milk & Honey’s Elements series. Aromas of dried fruits, ginger, oak and floral coconut fill the nose, complemented by notes of redcurrants, plums, vanilla, oak and soft summer blossoms throughout the palate.

One of three expressions from the Milk & Honey Elements Series, which sees the Tel Aviv-based distillery’s whisky aged in a variety of casks, imparting a medley of flavour profiles. This one in particular was aged in bourbon casks and red wine casks (which also came from Israel), bringing some ripe berry notes to the single malt.

M&H Elements Sherry is the first ever single malt whisky that was matured in Ex-red wine casks that were sourced from Israel’s finest wineries were picked for this part of the Elements trilogy. The Mediterranean’s climate, variety of soil types, hot sunny days and cool nights bring a spicy and unique flavor to Israeli wine – and in turn, our casks. The wine casks used in the Elements Red Wine are a celebration.

Nose:

Strawberry, dry barley, a hint of waxy orange peel and crunchy brown sugar.

Palate:

Very slightly floral with citrus blossom, before redcurrant and raisin develop, with a pile of cinnamon sticks off to the side.

Finish:

Plum, oak, and poached pear.
