Bib & Tucker Small Batch Bourbon

Bib Tucker Small Bourbon was a term noted to describe a tuxedo or fanciest attire one might wear to a wedding, and Harv Gates the brand ambassador of 35 Maple Street Spirits says that exactly what they are doing. This is a sourced bourbon from an undisclosed distillery. It uses a mashbill of 70% corn, 26% rye and 4% barley and is aged in No. 1 charred American oak for a minimum of 6 years.

Aroma :

Bib Tucker Small Bourbon leads with a scent of strong vanilla and sweet hay. And is accented by a whiff of sandalwood and mace.

Palate: 

A thin and watery mouthfeel. There’s notes of corn flakes and sugarcane. Would that make it Frosted Flakes then? There is some black pepper flake notes to indicate some heat, but it wouldn’t drive away a new whiskey drinker. There’s also the smallest hint of fruit on the palate too, but not enough to detect what kind of fruit it is.

Taste  :

With a smooth entry, the bourbon is nicely balanced with a hint of pecan pie sweetness. It fulfills the promise of its nose before evolving into a warm, rich, spicy sensation.

Finish :

Bib Tucker Small Bourbon coats the palate with a complex, yet balanced and long-lasting chestnut finish.
