This vintage is made up of primarily Grenache, this is a field blend with a touch of Alicante Bouschet, and a slight addition of 2.5% Petit Verdot and 2.5% Petit Sirah. Fresh blackberry and raspberry lead the pallet with a lively pepper finish. It’s earthy, wonderfully herbal and has soft tannins. This is a balanced approach to Grenache, not the over the top style. Aged in 100% French Oak for 18 months. A very rare wine for us at only 58 cases. (We would have had a little more, but we lost one of the three rare barrels in the earthquake)
