This rare Rhum Agricole “Vieux” was aged under our tropical climate for 8 years in a 200L oak barrel. Our evaporation reached a solid 40% of the initial volume put in those casks. The rhum is distilled and aged on the island of Marie Galante, following traditional methods created in the early 17th century by the Pere Labat himself. Its richness and complexity come from our extraordinary sugar cane, grown with minimal intervention, harvested by hand at the peak of maturity, and distilled in a small 12 plate copper column still. We have never released more than 3500 bottles per year. This is how special this bottle is.
