The Elements Series from Tel Aviv’s Milk and Honey Sherry Cask Distillery is a range of single malt whiskies exploring the variety of flavours that different types of casks can impart. This particular expression was drawn from a combination of bourbon, Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, resulting in a whisky brimming with spiced fruit and chocolate notes. The world’s first whisky to be matured in Kosher sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. Robust aromas of red fruits, sweet malt, marshmallows and hints of tobacco fill the nose. The palate offers notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits, tobacco and gentle oak spice that linger in the finish.

Milk and Honey Sherry Cask Elements is made using primarily sherry casks–both oloroso and Pedro Ximenez in its maturation. Additionally ex-bourbon casks are also used. Incidentally, the sherry casks were produced exclusively for the brand and they are certified Kosher. Bottled without chill-filtration at 46% ABV.

Milk & Honey Distillery is the creation of serial tech entrepreneur Gal Kalkshtein and his team — Amit Dror, Simon Fried, and Roee and Naama Licht. Together they opened the first distillery in Israel. They drew up the plans in 2012 and started production in 2014. Their first products hit the shelves in 2016 and in May of 2017 they announced the first Single Malt produced in Israel — The M&H Classic. Today, their range includes New Make, two Gins, Roots Herbal Liqueur, and a handful of Single Malt versions.

Softly honeyed, with more sultana and raisin. Chocolatey coffee notes develop later on, with a hint of cherry juice.

Dark chocolate mousse, cedar, and cinnamon.
