Louis Jadot Pouilly Fuisse opens in the glass with aromas of pear, green apple, citrus oil and warm pastry. Medium to full-bodied, delicately textural and fleshy, with racy acids and a nicely defined finish, it has turned out well. In southern Burgundy, at the northern border of Beaujolais, lies the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. At the top of the hierarchy of Mâconnais wines, this area is in the heart of the great appellations that produce white wines: Fuissé, Pouilly-Loché, Pouilly-Vinzelles and Saint-Véran. The judicious, subtle use of oak allows Louis Jadot’s Pouilly-Fuissé to retain its complexity and structure.

It is the ideal white to combine with seafood and fish. Louis Jadot is one of the most important wineries in Burgundy, and also operates as a trader. It was founded in 1859 and manages over 200 hectares. They have had their own cooperage since 1995 to make barrels to ferment and age some of their wines.
