Founding Spirits award-winning craft vodka is made with the purest ingredients in the heart of Washington, D.C. Our Founding Spirits small-batch vodka won a Silver medal at the 2020 American Craft Spirits Awards and a BRONZE medal from the 2018 American Distilling Institute’s Craft Spirits Conference.

This award-winning vodka is distilled with the aristocrat of wheat, Dark Northern Spring, more commonly known as Hard Red Spring Wheat, a trademark of excellence due to its high-protein and high-quality.

We use North Dakota wheat harvested from fourth-generation farmers, Mark, Michelle, and the Watne family. Mark also serves as president of the North Dakota Farmers Union. The rye and barley are harvested by Bay’s Best Feed in Heathsville, VA.

Founding Spirits is a craft distillery located in Washington, DC. Their small-batch vodka is distilled from Hard Red Spring Wheat, harvested on the Watne’s family farm in North Dakota. In addition to wheat, the two other key components, rye and barley.
