This is an unfiltered straight bourbon whiskey matured a second time in Asbury Park Distilling Co.’s own oak finished gin barrels. Aged in #4 char new American oak barrels for 2 years and then 4 months in the barrels used for their barrel finished Gin, this is a highly sippable, slightly spicy, incredibly delicious bourbon. Made of Corn 60%, Rye 36% and Malted Barley 4%, there is a slight hint of botanical aromas and flavors in this bourbon that we love.
Light amber with an aroma of oak, charcoal, caramel, vanilla, spices, sweetness, port and sherry. Smooth taste of oak, caramel, vanilla, a rum-like sweetness and alcohol warmth. A medium body. A long finish with spices and alcohol warmth.
