Tamdhu 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Tamdhu is well-known and much-adored for its excellent use of sherry casks, and those of you with a penchant for single malt with heavy sherry influence will be delighted to know that the distillery’s 15 Year Old expression continues that theme. This one has spent is maturation in oloroso sherry casks, resulting in generous helpings of dark fruit and Christmas spice.
Aged in oloroso sherry casks, this 15-year-old Tamdhu has aromas of apple pie, spiced currants and orange zest. The palate is full of juicy apricots, vibrant raspberries and bitter almonds, before a long finish full of malty biscuits and creamy sherry notes.
A 15 year old single malt whisky from Speyside’s Tamdhu distillery launched in early 2019 as part of its annual limited edition releases. Matured in a combination of European and American ex-Oloroso sherry casks. A total of 24,000 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.

Tamdhu 15 Year is a limited edition release announced March 2019. It is a single malt which is matured fully in a combination of European and American oak sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, there are 24,000 bottles available worldwide.
Charred pineapple, earthy barley and a hearty slice of dense fruitcake, then some toasty oak warmth, orange zest and fennel.
Still packing heavy dried fruit notes, with a hint of orange oil and dried apricots cutting through. Earthy vanilla appears later on with touches of cedar, leather and cinnamon.
Warm and sweet, with waxy peels, clove, chocolate ice-cream and oily walnut.
