The Sterling Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a brooding, dark garnet-red color in the glass with big fruit aromas of blackberry jam, ripe plum and notes of cassis. The nose leads to a full-bodied, concentrated, richly textured palate with flavors of dried black cherry, warm caramel and a pleasing umami character.

Perfumed notes of plum, blackberry leaf, bitter chocolate, tobacco, and hazelnut. The hint of wild strawberry. It’s full-bodied with velvety tannins. Creamy and smooth with layers of luscious fruit.

A ripe and friendly style, with a crowd-pleasing beam of cassis and cherry preserve flavors, laced with light vanilla and red licorice notes. The rounded finish reveals a flash of singed herbs, but the fruit wins out easily. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa has blended 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, 3% Petite Sirah, 1% Malbec, and 1% Cabernet Franc, aged for 16 months in French, American, and Hungarian oak (30% new).
