Meteor Vineyard Perseid Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 750ml

Meteor Vineyard Perseid Cabernet Sauvignon marries the elements of our clonally diverse planting in one singularly expressive wine. Meteor Vineyard is a collaborative project of vineyard proprietors Barry and Tracy Schuler and longtime Napa Valley winemakers Bill and Dawnine Dyer.

Located on a knoll in Napa Valley’s Coombsville appellation, our unique combination of elevation, aspect, and stony, rich volcanic soil produces some of Napa Valley’s most distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Meteor Vineyard Perseid Cabernet has a saturated blue/black color and beautiful blueberry and blackberry fruit with some licorice, incense and camphor. It is full-bodied, elegant but pure, and dense, with a hint of minerality, but offers loads of fruit, body and extract.

Meteor Vineyard Perseid Cabernet wine is still youthful, and for 2014, reasonably backward for the vintage. Give it another several year of bottle age and drink it over the following 20 years.

Meteor Vineyard is the confluence of an extraordinary Cabernet vineyard in the southeast corner of Napa Valley, the entrepreneurial vision of internet pioneer Barry Schuler and wife Tracy, the viticulture history and expertise of Mike Wolf and the consummate winemaking talents of Bill and Dawnine Dyer.

Meteor started as a dream 35 years ago when Barry Schuler, a college student with an emerging passion for wine, first visited Napa Valley. After roaming the valley and tasting, he was struck by the burning desire to someday live in Napa, grow grapes and make wine that could take its place among the World’s greats.
