Jefferson’s Chefs Collaboration Blend
Jefferson’s Chefs Collaboration Blend A late night spent tasting some of chef Edward Lee’s culinary creations led Trey to the idea that someone should blend a bourbon that would pair well with the bold flavors in chef Lee’s cookbook and another modern cuisine.
The nose delivers medicinal notes and aromas of wax, walnuts, and green hazelnuts. You can sense that there is more to come, more fruits and honey, but it is so far just a promise. On the palate, the whiskey develops with layers of flavors. It is a generous whisky, one that has enough sweetness to make it easy on its own, but it has all the spiciness and even touches of smokiness to balance a rich meal. The whiskey is bold in style with a complexity that has its place in a bar.
Made in collaboration with Chef Edward Lee of 610 Magnolia and Milkwood restaurants in Louisville, Jefferson’s Chef Collaboration Straight Whiskey pays homage to the spirits Jefferson distilled over two centuries ago.
Fruity, soft and smooth with peaches and buttery oaky notes and a lot of rye in the heart.
Spicy and warm mediate finish with Rye being the backbone of it.
Cherry and oak aromas and a hint of raw Rye spices in the background
