Glenlivet Nadurra Oloroso Matured Single Malt Scotch
The Glenlivet nadurra oloroso matured single malt scotch whisky is matured exclusively in first-fill oloroso sherry oak casks from the Jerez region of Spain. These casks are some of the most highly prized and sought after casks used whisky makers, and impart distinctive notes of dried fruits, raisins, apricots, orange marmalade, and dark chocolate to the whisky. After maturing in the casks, the whisky is bottled at cask strength without the use of chill filtration.
A companion to the much-loved bourbon-cask-matured Nadurra, the Nadurra Oloroso is a cask-strength Glenlivet that has been solely matured in first-fill oloroso sherry casks. The result is a full-bodied, heavily sherried dram that still shows the elegance that you find at the core of Glenlivet’s spirit.
It’s a bright, vivacious gold liquid, with aromas of dried fruit and spice. To drink, it’s smooth and creamy with chocolate and marmalade. This is a divine example of what happens when you bring together Spanish passion and Speyside tradition. This whisky is all about using traditions to achieve modern brilliance.
The renowned Glenlivet Nàdurra range of natural cask strength, non-chill-filtered single malt Scotch whiskies are usually aged in bourbon casks. However, this rather special offering was matured in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks from the Jerez region of Spain, presented at a robust strength of 60.7% ABV and without chill-filtration.
Dried fruit notes at the fore, soon joined by rich chocolate and a subtle nuttiness. Hints of struck match, anise, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Dark chocolate, Seville orange, flaky pastry, and crunchy fruits fresh from the orchard. Give it a minute and the anise on the nose comes running back too.
More dark chocolate and drying spice.
