Ginraw Gastronomic Gin comes to us all the way from Barcelona, created by a pair of entrepreneurs with the help of four masters in their craft: a chef, a sommelier, a mixologist and a perfumer. The use low-temperature distillation to preserve the flavours and aromas of their botanicals, which include kaffir lime leave, lemon, citron, cardamom, coriander and laurel.
Juniper berries are traditionally distilled in a copper still in Vilafranca del Penedés. Separately, fresh Mediterranean lemon peel from Murcia, cedrat peel from Valencia and Spanish laurel, along with Thai kaffir lime leaves, Indian black cardamom and Egyptian coriander seeds are each steeped….
Tasting Notes Of Ginraw Gastronomic Gin
Nose:
Juniper-forward, with fresh pine and peppercorn up front. Lime zest and coriander in the background.
Palate:
Herbaceous, leafy and somewhat savoury at first, before further waves of fresh citrus roll in on the palate.
Finish:
Freshly crushed cardamom seed notes bring a prickly heat to the finish.
Appearance:

Aroma:
Resinous pine needles, pungent peppery spice, light citrus zest and eucalyptus with faint bay leaf.
Taste:
Dry and clean, with pronounced zesty lemon, kaffir lime leaf and piney juniper, along with assertive peppery spice. Faint black cardamom smokiness.
Aftertaste:
Long lingering piney juniper, bay leaf and black pepper spice.
