Domaine Drouhin Red Wine Pinot Noir Oregon 750Ml
Domaine Drouhin is so delicious with very vibrant red cherries and a wealth of fresh red flowers and a reticent, spicy edge. The palate has a succulent, pure, and very neatly defined feel with a long, chiseled core of fresh red cherries.
Firm and generous, nicely packed with berry and spice flavors, finishing with a gentle layer of tannins. Impressive for its fruit concentration in a light vintage. Nice cherry and plum flavors with a soft, light tannin finish make this one of the most enjoyable Oregon Pinots on the market.
Complex and expressive on the nose, there are aromas of flower petals, candied dark cherry, and plum, interwoven with savory notes, sandalwood, and a touch of oak. The first taste presents dark fruit flavors and cherry, with pink peppercorn, rhubarb, and five-spices.
Ripe, well-integrated tannins are balanced by the graceful structure. While the wine is very pretty and approachable now, it has the charm and persistence to suggest it will effortlessly age over the next 10 years and more.
The Domaine Drouhin is vibrantly seductive with aromas of fresh cherry & red berry, and a floral mix of cherry blossoms and rose petals. These sensations follow through on the palate, with added clove and spice character. Firm, layered tannins coat the mouth, but the real stars are the rich, velvety touch and well rounded, persistent finish.
As the Laurène opens up, hints of blue fruit, cola & fresh undergrowth emerge. Similar to 2001 and ’93 in finesse and sophistication, the? 04 Laurène is full of life and promised much in the years to come. Enjoy now, and anytime over the next 8-12 years.
