Only the blend and care vary somewhat. Indeed, the Moulin is a very pleasing wine from its earliest years, an “easy-to-drink” wine. Then, at the time of the blend tasting, one chooses the supple, round, gourmand (tasty, flavoursome, mouthfilling…) wines. Quite often, the wines born of young grapevines are best suited. The Moulin is also a little richer in Merlot than the Chateau, about 40%. This is also Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. To give the wine a melted woody taste, barrelling includes 30% to 40% new wood, and lasts 12 months.
