This Calvados from Chateau Du Breuil Calvados is aged for 2 years before bottling, this was awarded a silver and “best in class” at the 2008 International Wine and Spirit Competition and a Bronze at the 2009 General Competition of Paris.

This is 2 to 3 years old and titrates 40%. It is the youngest Calvados of our range.  Fresh, tonic, refined, vigorous, very fruity, it allows to discover the “Appellation Pays d’Auge Contrôlée” Calvados. This contains all the fragrances of Normandy.  It has its own bottle whose registered design belongs to our company.  It is ideal for cooking, pastry or for making cocktails.Its price makes it very affordable.

A fantastic entry-level Calvados from the folk at Chateau de Breuil. They make their own cider and after distillation age their VSOP for a minimum of four years for close control over the flavour of the calvados at all stages of production. A soft but flavorsome spirit.

Two years of aging in oaks casks give a gold color to the fruity taste of its youth. Vigorous and fresh on the palate, it’s a product carrying the “Appellation d’origine contrôlée pays d’auge.

The mild and damp weather and clayed soil of the Pays d’Auge give the ideal growing conditions for its 22,000 apple trees which surround the Chateau du Breuil. In the cellars, Calvados ages only in oak casks. This cognac gives priority to quality rather than quantity.

Chateau Du Breuil Calvados company produces its own cider, coming from a 100% natural fermentation. Their know-how and experience are the strengths of the Chateau du Breuil which gives priority to high quality rather to quantity. When cider has reached its proper flavour, distillation can start.

Testing Notes:

An intense aroma of bright, youthful apples with just a touch of cinnamon and dried chili peppers. It is moderately sweet on your palate and has a soft, gentle body. Lots of apple cider notes and hints of woody spices and a dollop of caramel. The Calvados has just the right amount of tang to balance the sweet fruit which gives it a liveliness.
