Bache Gabrielsen Tre Kors Cognac 750 Ml
Bache Gabrielsen Tre Kors is a lovely blend of Grande and Petite Champagne (25%) and Fins Bois (75%) grapes. Aged in Limousin oak for a minimum of 2 years, this Cognac takes on a remarkable amber hue despite the minimal usage of caramel and Boise additions. The inclusion of young Grande Champagne fruit keeps the spirit extremely bright and fresh providing a lively acidity without sacrificing the rich, round, and soft palate.
This combination of little sugar, fruit-forward flavors, rich texture, and extraordinarily affordable price, makes this the perfect casual sipping or cock-tailing Cognac. If you haven’t embraced the Vieux Carre or the Sidecar yet in your home bartending, you are missing out on some true classics. Tre Kors is the perfect place to start.
This velvety Cognac opens with plenty of oak on the nose and palate. The more you sip, the more the oak recedes and bold vanilla and citrus come forward. Fading to a lip-smacking finish of nutmeg and ginger. Sip or mix. Aged a minimum of 2 years.
This Bache Gabrielsen Tre Kors Cognac represents the story of prohibition and Norwegian ingenuity. During the period 1916–1926 the sale of liquor was prohibited. Liquor could still be obtained on prescription, however, and never before has a nation been so ill. Cognac was only available for “medicinal purposes”, and young Bache-Gabrielsen was quick to act. The three existing stars on the cognac label (VS) were replaced with three crosses. To this day, this cognac remains the most popular. A young and relatively unembellished VS, primarily based on Fins Bois.
