Tasting Notes Of Auchentoshan American Oak Whisky
Nose:
Oranges and lemons, toffee chunks and milk chocolate. Wafts of grassy air and clotted cream. There’s a light thread of milky vanilla bean that reminds me of ice cream, plus some freshly sliced green apple and charred beeswax. Gentle and subtle.
Palate:
Bounty bars, more citrus peels and peaches. A little bit buttery, with golden barley and oak spice developing on the mid palate. Sweet, creamy, and light, this is like the whisky equivalent of a big bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios in front of Saturday morning cartoons.
Finish:
Lasting notes of grapefruit and toffee pennies.
